Record-Breaking Networking Expo

Face-to-face networking gets results. West Sussex Expo and Brighton Business Expo both support businesses of all sizes reach out to new people and generate leads.

Mike says: “The number of local businesses exhibiting at West Sussex Expo was high this year. Given the current climate and uncertainties over Brexit, this is a clear indication of how highly-valued our expos are.

“Coinciding with local elections, it was hard to gauge in advance the level of support the event would attract. I wasn’t disappointed.”

Visitors poured through the doors all day. Even before the last stand was packed away, it was obvious the expo had attracted an unprecedented level of support.

“After the figures were tallied up, we could confirm that this year’s West Sussex Expo was the busiest yet,” Mike reveals.

“We had just under 50 stands and more 300 visitors through the door on the day.

“In addition, we had a fantastic range of speakers. In fact, I’ve received a lot of feedback about the quality of our speakers and that is a testament to their expertise. It is fantastic to attract so many leaders in their field to a single, one-day event.”

Mike is now busy preparing to host Brighton Business Expo at Brighton Racecourse on October 3.

He says the event will have over 110 stands and is likely to attract well over 700 visitors.

The headline sponsor is Castle Water Limited and NatWest is sponsoring a start-up village.

A big draw will be keynote speaker Sally Gunnell OBE. The Olympic champion is the only track and field athlete to have won Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth titles. In demand as a speaker, Mike says he is honoured to have secured her attendance at the expo and says many visitors will be interested to hear what she has to say.

He adds: “This is someone who knows how to set goals and achieve them.”

A big part of Brighton Business Expo is promoting the exhibitors. This is already under way for confirmed participants.

They are being promoted on Twitter and LinkedIn. This will continue up to and after the event. If businesses have any special requests, they are invited to make them via direct message on the social media platforms.

Highlights of this year’s event are expected to be speed networking, seminars, workshops and the famous networking wall.
