The next meeting is coming up and, this month, is sponsored by Gatwick Diamond Business.

Join us on Friday 17th November for a Big Business Breakfast Club (BBBC) first. We’re meeting at The Royal Pavilion Ice Rink, Brighton, from 8am (skating is optional).

The BBBC team will be on hand to facilitate any introductions and, as always, the legend himself, Alex Ryan from Marketing 101, will be there with marketing hints and tips.

The room will remain open after breakfast and hearing from our guest speaker so that we give you plenty of time to meet other like minded business people in the room.

Our sponsor – Gatwick Diamond Business

Gatwick Diamond Business has been at the very centre of the Gatwick business community for over 70 years. It is proud of its independence and not-for-profit status. This is an organisation owned and run by its members, for the members. GDB supports its membership and the wider business community, makes connections to ignite new opportunities and champions the needs and interests of Gatwick Diamond Businesses across and beyond the Gatwick Diamond region.

Joining GDB gives you access to a range of business services, from networking events to bespoke advice. The various membership packages are tailored to provide businesses of all sectors and sizes the support they need. Whether you’re looking for profile-building opportunities or want to expand your contacts, there are plenty of reasons to join this fun and friendly network and see your business grow.

Guest speaker – Kathy Caton, Founder of Brighton Gin

“Brighton Gin was born of a passion for gin, and a passion for the place where we live and play.” Kathy wanted to create a gin that embodied the Spirit of Brighton: unusual, playful and fiercely independent.

It started back in 2012 with months of experimentation with different ingredients, combinations, distilling techniques and approaches, and more than one or two accidents along the way (but she lived to tell the tale!). There was lots of trying out recipes on fellow gin-loving friends until we finally hit the perfect blend.

The distillation process removes the gluten from Brighton Gin, and it’s also the first craft gin to be certified 100% vegan, which includes the wax bottle tops and the gum used to stick the labels.

True to its founding principles, each bottle is carefully washed and filled by hand. There are no factory production lines here – not even when it comes to dipping labels in wax and sticking them on. Brighton Gin also keeps its carbon footprint down by delivering in Brighton and Hove on a specially adapted gin bike – that’s a lot of huffing and puffing up some of those hills!

Sponsor’s nominated charity – Golden Lions Children’s Trust

The Golden Lion Children’s Trust is a Gatwick based charity founded in 1973 by British Caledonian Airways employees and others who worked at, or were connected with, Gatwick Airport.

Completely self-financing, independent of any regular corporate sponsorship, often benefiting from the generosity and support of companies large and small, mainly from around Gatwick & the South of England, this small charity supports approximately 3,000 children with special needs and underprivileged youngsters per year, mainly from the Crawley area, but also within Sussex, plus some areas of Kent and Surrey and last year ran a total of 56 projects for the children.

We look forward to seeing you all on Friday 17th November. Tickets will sell out, so book in advance.
