Carpenter Box enhances employee wellbeing with major refurb
3rd December 2021Leading accountancy and finance firm Carpenter Box has carried out a full refurbishment of its Worthing office in response to the shift in working trends brought about by Covid-19.
The 3-storey building has been fully revamped by Sussex-based interior fit-out and refurbishment specialists, Warnes Projects, with the wellbeing of the firm’s 140 Worthing employees at the heart of the design.
Features include spacious food and drink preparation areas, stylish break out zones with funky banquette seating and a breakfast bar, integrated USB charging points and acoustic rafts throughout, as well as a new soundproof meeting room complete with the latest tech.
An eclectic mix of industrial furniture, quirky artwork, and pops of Carpenter Box’s blue brand colours, create a modern minimalist look.
Employees have also been treated to deluxe additions, such as ‘bean to cup’ coffee machines on every floor, in support of the hybrid-model perception that office space should be maximised for conversation and collaboration opportunities.
Marc Sagoo, senior designer at Warnes, said: “Carpenter Box wanted a more contemporary workspace better suited to its growing team. Our approach was to reduce the overall number of traditional fixed desks to make way for a more flexible space on each floor. This has created a more welcoming environment, perfect for staff to relax or come together for informal meetings and team projects.”
Alan Edwards, Managing Partner at Carpenter Box, commented: “The pandemic has changed the world of work as we know it. So, we decided to take our learnings from this experience to reconfigure a positive workplace environment suited to the needs of modern-day life. It was important to us create a space that reflects our people-centric culture that employees can look forward to visiting, and we couldn’t be happier with the finished result!”
