County Business Clubs’ official lift off

In May 2020 during the global pandemic, we launched County Business Clubs. The premise of the club is to help support local businesses within the amazing Sussex community at each stage in their commercial journey. With collaboration at the core of our values we quickly established some amazing partnerships such as local Chambers of Commerce, Love Local Jobs, Network My Club, FSB, Plus X to name a few and began to help support businesses. We grew to over 300 members in the first few months during our beta stage and thanks to your feedback and support we relaunched our new all-encompassing platform in April 2021. 

By bringing 4 different platforms together we have created a single business eco system that can support all businesses with different needs at different times in their commercial journey. Members can connect in our community, share in our content hub, save, and sell in our Marketplace and grow using our business academy and jobs portal. 

The growth of County Business Clubs over the past 18 months is a testament to the fantastic community we aim to support and bring together. It was therefore amazing that on Thursday 18th November we held our official live launch party at the amazing British Airways i360. 

The evening was in aid of Rockinghorse Children’s Charity and the SOLD OUT event was a huge success. We welcomed over 170 of the movers and shakers from the Sussex Business Community and thanks to your support raised over £3,500 for the charity. I was genuinely overwhelmed by the support – not only on the night but over the past 18 months.

I would like to also thank my business partner Lee Mansfield, our amazing community manager, Jackie Ashwood who continues to go above and beyond, James Johnson, Picture Book Films, all those that donated raffle prizes, The Grand Brighton, Gars, Malmaison, Ridgeview, Elwood Wines and Rivervale. Finally, all our members, partners and supporters, we look forward to growing and supporting our amazing local community.
