CRL Invests in Staff with a New Training Academy for Employees
15th December 2016
Structural defects insurance specialist CRL has launched a training academy at its Horsham sales centre to nurture talent through the business
The launch of the CRL Training Academy comes just eight months after CRL opened its Sussex-based sales centre to support ambitious growth plans for 2016.
The new sales centre, which opened on May 3, has already created 25 new jobs in the sales team, bolstering CRL’s workforce across London, Horsham, Liverpool and Newcastle by 35%.
Now the training academy will allow all call centre staff to not only train as relationship managers, but will also equip them with the skills and experience necessary to move into other areas of the business, away from the sales frontline.
Jordan Camp, CRL business manager, heads up the Horsham office and has overseen the inauguration of the training academy.
He said: “We have some amazingly talented and dedicated individuals at the sales centre, whose talent and ambition we want to nurture.
“By enrolling them in the new training academy we are giving them the opportunity to work with a mentor and experience life in other areas of the business.
“We don’t believe that there is a limit to what people can achieve here at CRL and want our staff to know that if they want to progress then they have the opportunity to do so within the organisation.
“Having worked in recruitment myself for a number of years I know how important people are to each business. I have never seen a company invest in people as much as CRL does – it truly is the land of opportunity for those with a hard-working venturous attitude.”
CRL’s CEO Steve Mansour, says it’s the people within the company that makes CRL’s customer service second to none.
He said: “As part of our growth plans we have invested heavily in new jobs and staff development.
“A strategic learning and development programme has been designed to equip our people with skills and knowledge to enable them to grow into the roles they feel are best suited to them.
“These training programmes are aimed at educating our staff in all aspects of the business – with particular focus on insurance, construction and customer service excellence.
“We remain as passionate as ever about delivering exceptional customer service and the new training academy is further testament to this commitment.”
CRL’s specialist team arranges structural defects insurance for contractors, developers, builders, housing associations and architects to protect thousands of new build properties and conversions throughout the UK and Ireland.
The in-house team assist in sourcing fast, flexible cover and are dedicated to providing the highest quality of customer service. In a recent independent customer survey 97.5% of those surveyed would recommend CRL to their friends and family.
Client feedback also states a flexible approach, coupled with speedy turnaround times and highly competitive premiums make CRL an obvious choice for their structural defects insurance.
Nora Vatrici is 27 years old and now lives in Horsham after being born in a small town in Romania next to the Black Sea. She said: “I came to this country hoping to find a better job that will give me more life experience and to make me a better person at the same time. Life in this country hasn’t been easy. I have had a couple of jobs that I didn’t enjoy doing but, without those jobs I wouldn’t be where I am now.
“I have been working for CRL since May this year and, so far has been the best year I have had since I moved to England. CRL has been more like a family to me and has helped me and trained me to become better at what I am doing, but at the same time has been there for me when I was having bad times. I work as a trainee business development manager but this is not where my job stops.
“I have to foster great relationships with my clients and maintain that relationship in a professional manner to ensure they get the best advice and service in the market. Recently, because I am studying a CIPD HR qualification, CRL has allowed me to participate in job interviews to support me in my studies and to help carve out a future HR role.
“I have been involved in other HR-related projects and have now also been nominated as the new employee engagement ambassador for Horsham office.
“I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunities that CRL has so far afforded me and for the opportunities they are helping facilitate to move into a HR role.”
