Dental Implants: The Number One Choice

Dental implants are now a mainstay of today’s dental care.  More than that, they have become central to the desire of dental surgeons to provide long lasting secure replacements for teeth that have so frequently caused problems for patients over the years.

Most people will have heard and know about dental implants,  as small titanium screws that are placed under the gum, allowing one or more replacement teeth to be attached.  People will not know just how much this field is advancing, and how simple dental implants are when carried out correctly, and followed up and maintained perfectly.

The Implant Centre is at the absolute forefront of this field,   taking the quality of treatment outcomes well beyond what is often achieved.   This is only possible with the level of expertise and training available to a team of 11 clinicians, 10 laboratory technicians, 12 dedicated nurses, 4 managers and 14 support staff.    We love the fact that we are able to help lead and train so many dentists in the field of dental implants,  from the most basic to the most complex.

With clinics in Haywards Heath and Hove, The Implant Centre is a state-of-the-art practice, equipped to the very highest standards and blends in perfectly with the surrounding listed properties. It is elegant and comfortable for our patients whilst also presenting a superb clinical environment for our professional team.

Because of our efforts to continue to be leaders in the field of implants, we have the accolade of many awards from the dental industry leaders,  including ‘Best Implant Practice in the UK’ multiple times in the last 13 years of care.

Dentistry has changed incredibly since the times of crowns, bridges and amalgam metal fillings.   Almost unrecognisable to many patients compared to what they may have been used to.

Leading the field in the latest Digital Dentistry options allows us to take digital photographic scans of the patients mouth, link these to 3D CT scanning and plan cases the highest possible level of safety.  Once the implants are in position we are then able to utilise further digital scanning techniques to place temporary teeth immediately onto the implants from our on-site digital laboratory. Finally the definitive restorations are then manufactured from the latest and strongest materials using digital design and milling.

We are enjoying demonstrating and teaching this aspect of implant dentistry,  as it simplifies treatments and allows for the future of dentistry right here, right now in Sussex.

What type of implant treatments to we do?

A simple dental implant would replace a single tooth of course,  this is the most common type of care we provide.   The other end of the spectrum is when someone is losing all of their teeth through gum disease, or failing dental treatments.  We now have incredible protocols that allow us to organise this with replacement of all teeth all on the same day – patients walk in with failing teeth and leave with a set of implants securing new bridges in position.   So many patients have told us how life changing this is,  when they have spent so many years struggling with problematic teeth.

Incredibly we only need to utilise 4 implants to support a set of upper or lower teeth.   Our website is full of information regarding this, with many patient stories showing how emotive dental treatments and care can ne, and how we have transformed so many people’s views on what dentistry will offer.

We also work extensively with patients who have been told by less experienced implant surgeons that they ‘do not have enough bone’,  or of course where implants have gone wrong in other people’s hands.   This is something we find saddening but more and more common as people try to cut corners in treatments to save money, or travel overseas to less reputable clinics.
