House prices rising at fastest rate in two years

House prices rose in January at the fastest annual rate in two years, as annual growth I prices reached 4.1% – the strongest year-on-year increase since February 2018. The annual growth is in line with a survey by Nationwide Building Society that found house price inflation reached a 16-month high in January at 1.9%.
