Last Property Professionals’ Lunch of 2023 raises over £500 for charity

The event, held last month, saw the return of host Sophie Campbell-Adams, Director and Solicitor at Britton and Time Solicitors, alongside many other Sussex-based businesspeople.

Sophie welcomed guests to the October meeting of the Property Professionals’ Lunch and then introduced the event sponsor, Community Wills Sussex (CWS). CWS is a community initiative that encourages people to leave a legacy gift to five chosen charities in exchange for a free will. Their ballot opens on 1 November for people over 55 – get involved by visiting their website.

Terrifically, the event raised over £540 for charity sponsor Rockinghorse Children’s Charity. Across all four events this year, more than £2,500 was raised for the deserving cause. Three lucky attendees even won prizes – a coffee shop voucher, restaurant voucher and two bottles of wine.

The star of the event was guest speaker Matt Turner from year-long headline sponsor Creative Pod. He entertained the crowd with anecdotes about his life as a businessman, football club owner and his love for a cheese board. 

Other sponsors of the event included year-long media sponsor County Business Clubs Sussex, year-long print sponsor Connect Media UK and Country House Cleaning as drinks sponsor. All the sponsors factor into making the event a huge success, and it has been great to see Sussex businesses supporting each other.

Host Sophie Campbell-Adams had this to say about the event’s success in 2023: “It has been such a joy to host these events and see the event go from strength to strength. The support of local businesses has been astounding and I am eternally grateful. I am really excited to see what the 2024 events hold for us.”
