Pilbeam Construction honoured with Sussex Heritage Trust Award
24th July 2019Pilbeam Construction have been awarded a Sussex Heritage Trust Award for the construction of the new restaurant at Gravetye Manor the luxury country hotel and Michelin starred restaurant at West Hoathly.
The bespoke project provided a new restaurant, with increased covers and outstanding views of the gardens, a basement and a new kitchen at the Grade 1 listed building during a 4 month shutdown period in 2018. The project has now won two construction awards as well as a number of hotelier and restaurant accolades.
Pilbeam Construction also won a Sussex Heritage Trust Award for an extension providing a club room and changing facilities to Petworth House Real Tennis Club. The club, located on the Petworth Estate adjacent the Grade 1 listed Petworth House, won the Public and Community category.
The Sussex Heritage Trust Awards recognise and reward the highest quality conservation and restoration, and the design of newly built projects, recognising the use of traditional skills and crafts.
