The Corporate and Commercial team at SO Legal Solicitors continued their series of Commercial Law Seminars in October with an event in conjunction with Lloyds Bank.

The seminar, held on Thursday 19 October in the SO Legal Executive Suite at Sussex CCC, focussed on company law issues pertinent to owners of SMEs or anyone who advises them.

Director and Head of Corporate and Commercial Legal Services, Hamed Ovaisi covered aspects of business law including board resolutions, board meetings, general meetings, articles of association, shareholders’ agreements and conflicts of interest.

Alan Harber, Lloyds’ Area Director for Commercial Banking for the South East presented a range of alternative funding routes open to the small business sector, including working capital, term debt, property investment, card services, vehicle fleets and asset funding.

It was another well attended session, full of practical tips for those that own, manage or contribute to the growth of SMEs and we’re delighted to have worked with Alan and the Lloyds team on this event,” says Hamed

Hamed concluded: “As registered CPD events, the seminars provide an excellent learning and networking opportunity for business owners, directors and professionals to further their awareness of the latest trends and commercial legal considerations.

The seminars give business owners from a diverse sector-base the chance to connect with other like-minded professionals from across Sussex and the wider south east.
