Introducing a new programme of free business support: The Confident Business series

Brighton Chamber has teamed up with the Business & IP Centre (BIPC) Brighton & Hove and always possible, to deliver a brand-new business support programme, The Confident Business.

An opportunity to step away and think strategically about your business, structure your planning and tighten your business model, it is practical support for any business in Brighton & Hove looking to review and reboot confidently into this year and beyond.

It’s for established businesses, sole traders, micro businesses and start-ups, with tailored support for businesses that face additional barriers including women and BAME founders and entrepreneurs.

What support is included?

The programme includes three strands of practical support, designed to help you adapt your business model.

Virtual workshops

Small group workshops will cover four key topics: Pitch, Price, Customers and Tech. Each covering a quadrant of the Business Model Canvas, you’ll come away with refreshed ideas, new confidence and deeper thinking about your business. Each workshop is standalone, so you can pick and choose which ones you book.

One-to-one sessions with business experts

Workshop attendees can also join a limited number of virtual one-to-one advice sessions with business experts.

Peer-to-Peer networking

Connect with other local businesses at facilitated peer networking events. You’ll share plans, have a chance to give and receive feedback, get to meet and connect with other businesses, and form your own peer network.

Sarah Springford, CEO at Brighton Chamber, said: “We are excited to be able to deliver this package of practical support to businesses on behalf of BIPC Brighton & Hove, following a time when many have not felt able to develop and grow, and for others who have started a business.”

Councillor Steph Powell, joint chair of Brighton & Hove City Council’s Tourism, Equalities, Communities & Culture Committee, said: “This has been a very challenging year for businesses due to the impact of Covid 19. I’m delighted that the BIPC Brighton & Hove, in partnership with Brighton Chamber and always possible is helping to deliver the Confident Business series to support SMEs in future-proofing their businesses through the pandemic and beyond. The BIPC offers a wide number of databases and expertise that can help a diverse range of businesses to start-up and grow.”
