MONDAY 8TH MARCH //
Panel | Women Innovating for Good
A lunchtime panel with three entrepreneurs on a mission to create positive change through innovation, technology and financial empowerment. Chaired by Lara Sheldrake, founder of Found & Flourish.
Joining us is Erika Brodnick, Sky News’ resident parenting expert, founder of software companies Karisma Kidz and Kami, and board member of the APPG for Entrepreneurship; Deepali Nangia, angel investor, advisor to female founders, and co-founder of Alma Angels – a company set-up to democratize and demystify angel investing; and Lucy Hughes, the designer of MarinaTex, a new biodegradable material and alternative to plastic film using fish waste and algae that’s transforming our approach to plastic pollution.
FRIDAY 19TH MARCH //
Interactive talk | Serious About Games
In this interactive interview, we’ll meet two female founders that are carving a path in the male-dominated gaming industry. Sarah Ticho of Hastumi and Hazel Reynolds of Gamely Games will chat about their stories, how they’re taking gaming innovation to the next level, and their tips on how to run a kind business – and, of course, you can expect some live interactive game play! Both women are part of the BRITE innovation programme.
FRIDAY 26TH MARCH //
Masterclass | Art + Activism
The final event is taking place on March 26, a conversation with community leaders and local business women, details to follow.
TICKETS
We are offering a pay-what-you-can ticket option, with all proceeds going to our charity for the month, Brighton Women’s Centre (BWC). BWC has been supporting self-identifying women in the Sussex area since 1974 – all donations will contribute towards their food bank, therapy, and peer-to-peer support services. However, we want these events to be as accessible as possible. If you are unable to make a financial contribution to BWC at this time, we are also offering a free ticket option to this event at checkout. Anyone with a ticket is automatically entered into a raffle to win a month’s free desk space at Plus X Brighton.
