Exceptional Entries for 2016 Lewes District Business Awards

Celebrating excellence amongst the District’s business community, the Lewes District Business Awards are free to enter and open to organisations of all sizes and sectors.

The Awards create a fantastic opportunity for many different types of businesses to come together and celebrate the success of the District’s business talent and achievement.

Past winners have included many local favourites such as The Runaway, The Charleston Trust and Mill Laine Farm, as well as established international companies such as Cash Bases and successful organisations such as Furniture Now! and the National Lifesaving Academy.

There are 12 trophies up for grabs this year including three new categories – Best Employer, Customer Service and International Business. There are also special awards to recognise innovation and the community, along with an award for the LEAP new entrepreneur of the year.

Leader of Lewes District Council, Councillor Andy Smith, said: “Following the huge success of the last two years, the Lewes District Business Awards continue to go from strength to strength. We are delighted that so many exceptional businesses from across the District have put themselves forward for an award”.

Judging is taking place now and for the third year, Hugh Burnett OBE, DL, FCA will chair the panel.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 14 July at the Lewes Town Hall.

Around 200 of the District’s leading business people, sponsors and judges are expected to attend giving guests the perfect opportunity to network with peers, celebrate with colleagues and find out those all-important results!
