Value Added Partner Stories
28th May 2026We chat to Amy Wonnacott, Founder of Lemon Drizzle.
Tell us your Story?
Lemon Drizzle was born out of a genuine love for creativity and a belief that every brand deserves to be seen. Growing up, I was always encouraged by my Mum to think differently, to stand out rather than blend in, and that mindset shaped everything I went on to do professionally. I am myself a social media manager, strategist, and content creator based in Brighton. After years of developing my skills across design, marketing, and content creation, I founded Lemon Drizzle off of the back of 2 redundancies to give small and growing businesses access to the kind of bold, strategic social media presence that actually moves the needle. What sets us apart is the combination of creative thinking and clear strategy. We don’t just make things look good, we make sure they connect with the right people, tell the right story, and deliver real results. From follower growth to client sign-ups, our work speaks for itself.
What has been your biggest business challenge to date?
Honestly? My biggest challenge has been myself. Building a business while navigating challenging personal circumstances has tested my resilience in ways I didn’t anticipate. As a woman backing her own judgement every single day, self-doubt and the glass ceiling are very real. Pushing through both has made me a stronger founder and a better version of myself.
What has been your greatest or proudest business achievement to date?
This one is easy. The Brighton Girl Awards. I led the social media strategy this year and grew impressions from 50k to over 200k in just four months. Standing on that stage in front of 300 people and seeing that result celebrated was my “HURRAH” moment. It was the proof of concept I had always believed in.
What type of clients do you currently work with and who are you looking to meet?
Our client base is deliberately varied. Social media strategy can be adapted to almost any industry with the right research and understanding, and that variety is something we genuinely thrive on. We are small and mighty, and we work best with businesses that share that same spirit. Our sweet spot is the 1-5 person team that is ambitious, pushing forward, and ready to grow.
Tell us a story/fact about yourself that people might not know?
I used to dance and act professionally. I danced so much that I ended up dancing on Her Majesty’s Theatre in the West End! Can’t do the splits any more though.
How do you define Success?
Success, to me, is synonymous with strength. It is something most people don’t recognise in themselves, not physically, but emotionally. I know because I was one of them. What I have learned is that strength shows up in the smallest moments, in showing up on a hard day, in pushing forward when it would be easier not to. Everyone has that capacity, which means everyone has the ability to succeed.
